Colic is a common, recurring, prolonged and annoying crying in healthy infants.colic has no apparent symptoms and its treatment is hardly done. Episodes of colic usually peak when an infant is about 6 weeks old and decline significantly after 3 to 4 months of age. infants crying occurs due to colic, for three or more hours a day, three days or more per week, or for more weeks.

Features of colic may include the following:

Intense crying, Crying for no apparent reason, extreme fussiness after crying, Night crying, change skin color and Tension in the body. Sometimes there is relief in symptoms after the infant passes gas or has a bowel movement.  The cause of colic is unknown. Possible contributing factors that have been explored include: defective digestive system, Imbalance of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract, Food allergies, overfeeding, underfeeding or infrequent burping, Early form of childhood migraine and Family stress or anxiety.
